Role in FICEBO: Clinical research coordinator
Who are you?
I’m a physiotherapist specialized and with clinical focus in upper limb and hand therapy. In the recent years I’ve also grown a great interest in pain related and cognitive neuroscience. Outside work I’m passionate about dancing and love travelling.
Favorite part of your job?
Learning new things in the field of clinical research and having the opportunity to watch and learn that from brilliant people. In clinical physiotherapy the best feelings arise in moments when I’m able to guide people become aware of something essential in their rehabilitation process and by that help them help themselves.
Why did you decide to enter your field?
I had been hoping to shift towards the research field after finishing my master’s degree studies in Health Sciences and an opportunity to join the FICEBO group nicely coincided with that.
Who/What inspires you?
People dedicated working for a general good, whichever field of work it be. I’m also inspired by people with creative minds.
The most interesting article you’ve read recently?
Valtonen J et al. Neurodualism: people assume that the brain affects the mind more than the mind affects the brain. The works of the human brain are just fascinating.
